| | Neil Young: Greatest Hits/Oasis: Familiar to Millions | ] | Two versions of the same classic song here. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Neil Young in 1985 with an acoustic version:
And doing a souped-up electric take in 2000 at Wembley, Gallagher Senior:
And yeah, this is the song that inspired Kurt Cobain's suicide letter. But still awesome nevertheless. |

great song. One of my favorite numbers by Mr Young.
So did anyone else try to call "1-800-FARMAID"? I tried, but they wouldn't provide me with a maid.
The original is so much better. I'm glad Neil didn't "burn out". Of course with his name, he's eternally 'young'.
I prefer the original when Young does it acoustically. When he does it electric, he turns the distortion way up so you can barely work out what the riff is. For that reason, I prefer Oasis' electric version (it's also the version I heard first, which makes a big difference). However, Young's voice is much better than NG's. | |
